Ye Olde Globe Inn, Berrynarbor, Devon, EX34 9SG
From the website:
“Nestled in the heart of the ‘Britain in Bloom’ award winning pretty North Devon village of Berrynarbor is Ye Olde Globe, a traditional character pub filled with antiques and curios.
It first became a pub in 1675, having been converted from a row of three cottages reputed to date from about 1280. The Lime-ash floors are over 400 years old and there is still a well located under the darts area.
Ye Olde Globe has real log fires in the Winter and has a secluded garden with views over the valley for the warmer months.
Children are well catered for and whilst not permitted in the Village bar or Lounge bar, are provided with a large Family Room with a toddlers indoor playarea. There’s also a baby changing room, highchairs and children’s menus.
Dogs are welcome in the “Village” bar and the “Kitchen” bar but are not permitted in other areas of the pub (with the exception of guide dogs).
A seperate Dining Room with a real flame fire offers comfort and atmosphere (no children under 8 years) and operates table service out of season for which booking is advised. There is a small private car park at the front of the pub but more parking spaces are available at the rear or in the public car park nearby.
We are open every lunchtime and evening. Serving food 12-2 and 6-9. In addition to our extensive menu we have “specials” which often include locally sourced meats and fresh fish. (Please ‘phone in advance if you want to be sure of what is available on the Specials).
We can cater for your celebratory dinners for up to 40 and can provide special menus and prices on request. Alternatively, we can provide prices for a finger buffet if you wish to book for a private party with entertainment such as disco, karaoke, band or even a “skittles/games night”.”
